ABB VFDs We Supply and Support

Machinery & OEM Drives (Micro VFDs)

ABB’s micro VFDs are compact systems that are built directly into machinery or automation cabinets. Models include:

ABB ACS180 – a compact, cost-effective variable speed micro drive. It’s ideal for machine builders who require simplicity and reliability at a lower cost. The ACS180 features built-in energy optimization, sensorless vector control, and standard Safe Torque Off function. They are easy to install and integrate, ready for efficient performance right out of the box.

ABB ACS380 – for more demanding OEM applications, the ACS380 supports multiple motor types and features flexible configuration with adaptive programming capabilities and built-in data logging functionality. Safe Torque Off comes standard, providing seamless compatiblity across ABB drives offerings.

Industrial/General Purpose Drives

ABB’s Industrial drives deliver exceptional performance, precise motor control and proven reliability for demanding applications across virtually every industry. With flexible customization, advanced energy-savings features, and a 9-year maintenance interval, ABB industrial drives are engineered for maximum uptime to keep operations running reliably.

ACS580 Series (General Purpose) – rugged, plug-and-play general purpose drive with all essential features built in as standard. These general purpose drives are easy to select, install and commission for pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors and other critical assets. They also feature built-in energy optimization, SIL 3 Safe Torque Off, and wide fieldbus support. The ACS580 series delivers reliable performance and considerable energy savings and works across ABBs compatible drive portfolio.

ACS880 Series (Industrial Flagship) – ABB’s line of heavy-duty, high-performance industrial drives that deliver advanced Direct Torque Control (DTC), flexible hardware and software customization, and proven reliability with a 9-year maintenance window.

ACS880 drives are built for harsh environments, and feature built-in Safe Torque Off, broad fieldbus compatibility, and a removable memory unit for effortless commissioning. They are typically used for cranes, winders, heavy manufacturing and other demanding applications. Liquid cooled options are available for marine vessels, offshore oil rigs and tightly sealed spaces with little or no ventilation.

Water/Wastewater Drives

ACQ580 – Based on the same core hardware as the ACS580, this application-specific model is built exclusively for pumping, water, and wastewater applications. It includes features such as anti-cavitation control, pump cleaning cycles, and other features unique to water/wastewater operations. Ultra-low harmonic configurations are available as well.

Migration, Retrofitting and Repair

B&D is truly your one-stop source for your ABB drive needs. In addition to providing new systems, we have deep experience helping customers retrofit and repair obsolete/legacy and classic systems. For instance, if you’re running an old ACS600, we’ll work with you to migrate your infrastructure to a modern and efficient ABB platform.

As a leading ABB supplier, we are also well stocked with ABB spare parts and maintenance kits to keep your older ACS800 series and other drive systems up and running.
